The Reason for Kullu Nafsin Dzaiqotul Maut
Allah swt says in Al-Qur'an Surat Ali Imron verse 185:
All the nafs d'iqatul tooụt, wa innamā tuaffauna ujụrakum yaumal-qiyāmah, fa man zuḥdayḥa ‘anin-nāri of udkhilal-paradise fa qad fāz, wa mal-ḥayātud-dun-yā illā matā'ul-gurụr
That means : "Every soul must taste death". Indeed, only in the heart of the doomsday will your reward be perfected. Then, whoever is kept away from the fire of hell and admitted to heaven, then he was really lucky. And the life of this world is nothing but deceptive pleasure.”
God's word about death is also in the Al-Qur'an, Surat Al-Anbiya Ayat 35
All the nafs of za`iqatul-maụt, wowụkum bisy-syarri wal-khairi fitnah, wa ilainā turja’ụn
That means “everything that lives must die. We will test you with evil and good as a trial. And only to Us will you be returned“.
Allah also says in Al-Qur'an surah Al-Ankabut verse 57 :
Every soul is beautifulụt, ṡumma ilaina turja'ụn
That means : Every soul will taste death. Then only to Us you will be returned
From the verses above it has been explained that the test is not only bad, but also in the form of goodness. For example, when a servant is given wealth, then indeed it is a test. God is testing whether the servant uses his property for profit or vice versa.
And in those verses also Allah swt has reminded his servant about death and only to Him will we be returned. All humans will die and only God will remain and all will perish except God.
In Ali Imron's letter 185, Allah has confirmed that the world we live in is just a mere pleasure that deceives humans.
