President
President has 2 duties and positions, namely as Head of State and Head of Government. As for the difference between Head of State and Head of Government, which is as follows :
- Head of state – The president has political rights that have been determined according to the state constitution. Based on its nature, The Head of State is divided into 2 namely as the Symbolic Head of State and the 2nd Populist Head of State. other than that, The Head of State based on the type of constitution is divided into two systems, namely the Presidency & System Semi-presidential.
- Head of Government – The President who in carrying out his duties is assisted by ministers or working cabinets in carrying out government duties and also in exercising legislative power.

President's Duties
As Head of State, The President has an important task and must be carried out as Head of State. The President's own duties have been written in the regulations of the 1945 Constitution 1945, that is :
- Has supreme power over the Navy, Army and Air Force (Article 10)
- Appoint ambassadors & consul (Article 13 verse 1)
- Accept or determine the placement of ambassadors from other countries by taking into account the considerations of the DPR (Article 13 verse 3)
- The state prioritizes the education budget at least 20% from the state as well as from the regional revenue and expenditure budgets (APBD) for the needs of the implementation of national education. (Year Constitution 1945 Article 31 Verse 4)
- Developing Indonesian national culture in the midst of civilization / in the eyes of the world and also guaranteeing freedom for the community to maintain and also develop cultural values. (Article 32 Verse 1).
- The state respects and maintains regional languages which are part of the national cultural wealth. (Article 32 Verse 2)
- The poor & abandoned children are taken care of by the state. (UUD 1945 Article 34 Verse 1)
- The state guarantees the independence and freedom of every citizen in embracing their religion and to worship according to their respective religions and beliefs. (UUD 1945 Article 29 Verse 2)
- Developing a social security system for the people and/or empowering the weak community/people as well as the underprivileged in accordance with human dignity. (UUD 1945 Article 34 Verse 2)
- The state is responsible for providing adequate health care facilities and public service facilities. (Article 34 Verse 3)
President's Authority
In carrying out his duties, the President has the authority as stated in the Constitution 1945, namely as follows:
- The President has the right to submit draft laws to the DPR (House of Representatives) [Article 5 Verse 1]
- The president who with the approval of the DPR can declare war, make peace and treaties with other countries [Article 11 Verse 1]
- The President in making another international agreement that has broad and fundamental consequences for / for people's lives related to state finances, and/or require that amendments or the formation of laws must be approved by the DPR [Article 11 Verse 2]
- The President in declaring the state of danger. Conditions & as a result of the state of danger that has been established by law [Article 12]
- The President has the authority to grant clemency & rehabilitation by taking into account Supreme Court [Article 14 Verse 1]
- The President has the authority to grant amnesty and abolition by taking into account the considerations of the DPR [Article 14 Verse 2]
- The President has the authority to grant titles, service mark, and marks of honor that have been regulated by/with the law [Article 15]
- The President has the authority to form a deliberative council whose task is to provide advice and considerations to the President, which has also been regulated in law [Article 16]
- In the case of compelling urgency, The President has the authority to enact government regulations in lieu of laws [Article 22 Verse 1]
- Various branches of production that have an important role for the state and also affect the livelihood of the people are controlled by the state [Article 33 Verse 2]
- The land and water as well as the natural wealth contained therein are controlled by the State and used for the prosperity of the people [Article 33 Verse 3]

vice President
The Vice President is the first person who will replace the President if the President is unable to attend activities or carry out duties and also something within the scope of government so that the position of the vice president is higher than the ministers..

Vice President Duties
