Bali Map

The Province of Bali was established based on the Legal Basis of Law No. 64 Year 1958 regarding the formation of Bali's Level I Regions.

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) effective from date 14 August 1958.

Then date 14 August 1958 made as the anniversary of the Province of Bali. Before being developed into a separate province, The island of Bali was formerly part of the Lesser Sunda Province which consisted of Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) & East Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Geographically, Bali Province is located at 8°25’23” South latitude and 115°14’55” East longitude.

Based on regional boundaries, west side, Bali is bordered by the province of East Java which is located on the island of Java which is separated by the Bali Strait.

While the East side, Bali is bordered by West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) which are bounded or separated by the Lombok Strait.

2. Tooth Cutting Ceremony

Tooth cutting ceremony is a ceremony that must be performed by women & man who is starting to grow up.

3. Funerals

When someone dies, the people of the island of Bali always hold a death ceremony, which is the event of death, the Balinese call it the name of Ngaben which during this event burns people who have died.

The purpose of holding this Ngaben ceremony is to return the spirits of people who have died (ancestral spirits) to return to its original place.
