Verse 1
The state is based on God Almighty.

The state guarantees the freedom for every resident to embrace their own religion and to worship according to their religion and beliefs.

The meaning of the article 29 Verse 1
Article 29 verse 1 on the Law 1945 implies that the State of Indonesia recognizes that there is absolute God Almighty, Because of that, in this country of Indonesia there can be no opposition regarding matters related to the Supreme Godhead, and attitudes and actions that reflect anti-God or anti-religion.
In fact it should be the other way around, With this understanding of Belief in the One and Only God, we should realize harmony in religious life, full of tolerance within the limits determined by or according to the demands and regulations of their respective religions, for peace to exist, peace and coolness in religious life.
