Definition of Biotics
The biotic environment is an environment that consists of the components of living things that exist on the earth's surface.
Human, animal, plants, and microorganisms are included in this biotic component. A creature that shows the characteristics of life, then the creature is categorized as a biotic component.
Biotic Components
Based on his ability to get food, biotic components are classified into 3, that is :
- Autotrophic Organisms (producer)
- Heterotrophic Organisms (consumer)
- Decomposer (decomposer)
Autotrophic Organisms (producer)
Autotrophic organisms / Producers are organisms that can produce their own food.
Autotrophs get their food by absorbing inorganic compounds and substances, which are then converted into organic compounds through a process of photosynthesis.
The special feature of organisms that include autotrophs is the presence of chlorophyll in their bodies, as in higher plants.
In the interaction of biotic components & abiotic, autotroph organisms become the beginning of the creation of ecosystem balance.
Heterotrophic Organisms (consumer)
Heterotrophic organisms / Consumers are organisms that use various kinds of organic materials derived from other organisms which then become their source of energy and food.
Autotrophs cannot get their own food. Examples of heterotrophs are humans, for example & animals that act well as herbivores, carnivore, and omnivore.
Decomposer (decomposer)
Decomposers are organisms that can convert organic materials from dead organisms into inorganic/non-biological compounds through a decomposition process..
An example of this biotic component, like mushrooms, algae, bacteria, worm, etc. Some decomposers that use the remains of decomposed organic matter are called detritivores.

Humidity

Acidity (pH)
The pH of the soil affects the life of plants. Plants will grow perfectly when they have an optimal pH, that is about 5,8 up to you 7,2.
Soil pH value is basically, fertilizer use, rainfall and root activity in plants and the decomposition of soil minerals.
