Voltmeter
Voltmeter is a device that has a function to measure an electrical voltage. The voltmeter itself is made up of three copper plates mounted in a bakelite that is fitted to a transparent tube such as plastic or glass.
Each plate on the voltmeter has a different function in each layer. The outer plate acts as an anode,. The plate in the middle acts as a cathode. In general, voltmeter tubes have sizes 15 x 10 cm (height x diameter).

To use a voltmeter must be connected in parallel with the components that we will measure the potential difference. To install a voltmeter we do not need to cut off the network just like to install an ampermeter.
To use it, just pay attention to which component has the greater potential difference. The tip which has a greater potential difference will be connected to the positive terminal of the voltmeter ( sometimes marked with a + ldquo;” or given a red color).
Whereas at the other end it will be connected with a negative terminal (sometimes marked with a sign & - ldquo; -” or given black). To be able to find out the value of the existing voltage then you can use the following formula.
Ohmmeter
Ohmmeter is a device used to measure an electrical resistance which is a power that can withstand the flow of electricity in a conductor. Ohmmeter also uses a galvanometer to be able to see how much electric current will be calibrated in ohms.
To read the value of the resistance that is on the ohmmeter gauge is very easy. We just have to look at how many values appear on the tool and are indicated by the pointer, then multiplied by the scale value of the selector switch.
To find the value, we can multiply the value of the scale and switch selector. Suppose that the needle shows a number 30 and the times multiplier that we have chosen before with the selector switch is 100, then we can calculate the value of the prisoner is 3000ohm or 2Kohm.
Amperemeter
Ammeters are devices that are often used to measure an electric current. Ampermeter can be made from microampermeter arrangement which has a function to detect the current flow in the circuit, both small currents and large currents, external currents are added to large currents.
The purpose of external resistance is to increase a gauge from the ampermeter so that it can measure the strength of the current which exceeds the standard value limit. Ampermeter works by applying Lorentz force and magnetic force.
The strong current flowing in the coil surrounded by magnetic force will cause a force called Lorentz force. This force can move the needle from the ampermeter. If the greater the current flowing, the greater the deviation that occurs.
To use an ampermeter, we have to connect it in series with the components we will measure the current strength. When we use an analog amplifier we must be careful.
A positive electric current will enter the positive terminal (will be marked + ldquo; +” or red markings) and exit the ampermeter through the negative terminal ( will be given tadna & ldquo; -” or a black mark). When connected with reverse polarity, the pointer needle will deviate in the opposite direction.
This isa cause the pointer will hit the side of the zero mark with a rather large force that can damage the ampermeter. But if we measure the strong current using a digital ampermeter, there is no need to worry.
Digital ampermeter has automatic polarity (autopolarity). With the automatic polarity it will produce the correct output value even though we connect the polarity in an inverse way.
The most important thing to consider when we install the ampermeter in series with the components we are measuring is the strong current is a series that must be cut.
Then the ends of the pieces which have a higher potential must be connected to the positive terminal. And the tip of the slung which has a lower potential is connected to the negative terminal.
Then the cut ends are connected to the ammeter terminals with the correct polarity. The potentially higher end of the cut must be connected to the positive terminal, while the lower end of the piece must be connected to the negative terminal.
To find out the strength of the current measured on the ampermeter can use the following formula.
Oscilloscope/ Oscilloscope
Oscilloscope/ An oscilloscope is an electronic measuring instrument used to project the form of electrical signals so they can be studied and seen. This tool is equipped with a cathode ray tube. The transmitter device will project an electron beam on the cathode ray tube screen.
The electron beam will make an impression on the screen oscilloscope. In special circuits in the oscilloscope will cause the dorotan to move repeatedly from left to right. This repetition results in the form of a continuous and learnable signal. Same with depictions on TV screens.

Galvanometers cannot be used to measure potential differences or strong electric currents, because the components that exist on the galvanometer pda does not support.
Galvanometer can be used to measure potential differences or large currents, if the galvanometer is mounted an external resistance or a voltmeter is often referred to as the front resistance and the ampermeter is called the shunt resistance.
